Abstract

Pada tahun 2015, Akademi Pengajian Islam telah menerbitkan lapan buah jurnal dalam pelbagai bidang pengajian. Penerbitan itu merangkumi penerbitan bercetak, atas talian (online) dan hybrid berbentuk bercetak dan atas talian (online). Bilangan lapan buah jurnal itu dimulai dengan penerbitan empat buah jurnal awal di APIUM. Penerbitan awal penerbitan jurnal bermula pada tahun 1981 dengan keluaran pertama jurnal ISLAMIKA, manakala pada tahun 1988, diterbitkan pula jurnal kedua diberi nama MEDIUM, setelah itu diikuti dengan penerbitan Jurnal Syariah dan Jurnal Usuluddin pada tahun 1993. Artikel ini akan membincangkan sejarah penerbitan empat buah jurnal awal tersebut sebagai satu langkah awal ke arah membincangkan kecemerlangan penerbitan jurnal yang berwibawa di APIUM.
