Abstract
Prophet Mohamed peace be upon him chooses few of his companions to recite the Quran and perfect it. He praises them and acknowledge their efforts. The best one among them was obi ibn kaab. This research is to acknowledge him and show his excellence in reciting the Quran. This research is divided into four parts: 1- The concern of prophet Mohamed (pbuh) to recite for his followers. 2-Learn about the Sahaba Obay ibn ka’ab. 3-His concern of mastering the rules of recitation of the Quran and perfecting it. 4- Chain of reciters that end with him and relate to him. Followed by the conclusion of the research and the index of sources and references. The most important conclusion of the research that Allah subhanah ordered prophet Mohamed(pbuh) to recite the Quran on him (obay ibn kaab) as he did the same thing to other excellent and master companions. He was one of the best among the sahabaah they praised him and talked highly of him, he was very respected and many companions perfected their recitation from him.
